Great seaside escape without the crowds
Le Touquet is such a solid choice for a beach break. The sandy stretch near the Pyla dunes area is massive and never feels packed. The sea air alone is worth the trip. Food along the seafront is decent too.
Loved every bit of it
The pine forest paths running between the villas and the beach are just gorgeous to walk through. Everything feels clean and well looked after. The fresh fish at the market on Rue Saint-Jean was so good - proper local stuff, not tourist food.
Perfect long weekend spot
Came here with my partner for a few days and we both really enjoyed it. The town center has lovely little shops and cafes, nothing too flashy. Tried the local moules-frites and they were absolutely spot on. Really easy to get around on foot.
A proper French coastal town
Le Touquet still feels genuinely French, which I appreciated. The market is worth going to early. The beach is huge and the light there in winter is something else entirely - very dramatic. Rue Saint-Jean has some nice spots for lunch.
Great for a family trip
Took the kids here and they had a brilliant time. The beach is wide and flat, perfect for building sandcastles and running around. The town itself is safe and easy to navigate. Seafood platters at one of the restaurants on the front were a real treat for the adults.
Relaxed and genuinely lovely
What I liked most was how calm it felt. The architecture around the Quartier des Villas is really pretty - those big old houses tucked between the pine trees are very photogenic. The restaurants are good quality and prices are reasonable for a seaside town.
